Clinton – It was a sluggish offensive performance for the Altus High School Lady Bulldogs in their semifinal with the Oklahoma City Storm of the Interbank Shootout Tournament on Friday.

It didn’t matter anyway as the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Storm 42-34 Friday afternoon.

Altus shut down the Storm in the first half, holding them to just three field goals in the first 16 minutes. The Lady Bulldogs held a 22-14 halftime lead.

The Lady Bulldogs built their lead up to 15 in the fourth quarter after Kiondra Harris hit a fielder to make it 39-24.

The Storm hit a couple of shots in the waning moments of the game to make the game appear closer than it actually was.

Meagan Steen and Harris each had 11 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Janelle Durrough finished with 10 points. Then came Michelle Marcha with seven points and Malorie Vaughan with three points.

Altus (6-2) on the season was to have played host Clinton in the finals on Saturday.
