Local artists donate paintings for Zach Cook Memorial Scholarship Fund

Four Altus artists have graciously donated their talents for an auction in honor of Zach Cook. All proceeds from the auction go to the Zach Cook Memorial Scholarship fund. All the paintings will be raffled off at the Zach Cook Memorial Fun Run / Walk set for tomorrow. The 2nd Annual Zachary J. Cook Memorial Fun Run/Walk will be held at the Altus City Reservoir, east side of the Community Center, with registration starting at 6 p.m., and the 2-mile race starts at 7:15 p.m. The event will be followed by an ice cream social, pizza, moon walk, items for auction and raffle, music, balloon release for Zach at closing of events. Action winners do not have to be present to win, just contact Teresa Camirillo 301-0802 or tickets will be on sale at the event. Artists shown are, from left, Savannah Gardner, Macinzee Cook, Logan Webb and Dalton Latham. All four are AHS Art students, and Macinzee is a Sunset Elemetary 3rd grader. She had to paint for her brother, Zach. All of them have been Zach's good friends since elementary school. All proceeds and donations will go to local Scholarships and Memorials in Zach's name.
