Olson’s book, “It’s Called a Trout Stamp Not a Food Stamp,” consists of 15 short stories about some of the lighter side of the outdoors. The stories range from breaking bones on hunting trips, to being lost in snow storms, to his first encounter with a horned lizard, or what he thought was a baby dragon. The stories are enjoyable by all not just outdoorsman. Anyone with a since of humor would enjoy the messes Shannon gets himself in during the stories.
Shannon has lived in Elmer for almost three decades and has been a law enforcement officer for over a decade. He spends his off time chasing his daughter around, or out in the outdoors creating new stories. Shannon’s book is available at Hasting, or online at amazon.com or ivegotbugs.com.
