Singing Churchwomen of Oklahoma to present free concert in Tipton

The Singing Churchwomen of Oklahoma will be at the Tipton First Baptist Church on March 1.

The free concert will be begin at 7 p.m. at the church, located at 300 E. Davis in Tipton.

The choir is a representation of the finest female vocalists from Southern Baptist Churches from all over Oklahoma, and will present a musical program including hymns, spirituals, and contemporary Christian music; along with a strong, scripture based narrative that tells the story of Jesus.

The Singing Church Women of Oklahoma organized in 1989 and have performed across the state, nation and around the world.

Local members include Lois Degan, JoAnn Goodfellow and Lindsey McDole of Altus, Kerrie Herring of Tipton, and Lana Johnston and Marci Prescott of Frederick.
