Jackson County Jr. Livestock Show under way
Judging of Ewe, Market Lambs and Meat Goats, shown here, was held Friday afternoon at the Expo Center as part of the 68th annual Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Jackson County Junior Livestock Show. Saturday’s events included judging of Gilts and Barrows, and today, Heifers and Steers were judged. A livestock judging contest will be held Monday, as well as the Bidder’s Barbecue and Premium Auction. The livestock show is held each year to highlight agriculture and provide a forum for the youth of our county to look at agriculture as a career choice.
