Tillman County Sheriff Bobby Whittington said the investigation came about after Adams left the employment of Coop Services and an audit was conducted of business inventory.
"The audit revealed approximately $30,000 of missing inventory," Whittington said. "The investigation revealed that Adams was taking inventory from the Coop and selling it for personal gain."
