It was a bad day at the

office for the Altus High

School baseball team.

Anadarko came to town and

dealt the Bulldogs an 11-0

defeat Monday.

It started from the first

pitch when Anadarko leadoff

batter Tanner Dearman

took an offering from AHS

pitcher Matt Roby and

served it over the leftfield

fence for an opposite field

homer.

The Warriors then added

three runs in the second

inning, two in the fourth

and five in the fifth.

The game ended after five

innings because of the run

rule.

Altus had a runner on

base in every inning but

could not get a hit when

they needed it.

The Bulldogs had six hits

in the game. Kanyon Sadler

had two hits in two trips to

the plate. Damien Ray, Dom

Nortonen, Hunter Harris

and Gage Jones had one

hit each.

It marked the second

game in a row that Altus has

been shutout. The Bulldogs

lost to Elgin on Saturday

8-0.

Altus is now 1-2 on the

season. The Bulldogs will

host the Altus Invitational

Tournament Thursday,

Friday and Saturday.
