Funeral services for Lester E. Warren 61, of Brownfield was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Carter officiating.

Burial will be at Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

He passed away on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009. He was born on Aug. 14, 1947, in Altus.

He served in the Vietnam War during the Tet Offensive in 1968, and received his honorable discharge in the same year. He was also a member of the Brownfield evening Lions Club.

He married Marilyn Lee in 1971. They had three children, Alyssa, Callie and William Lester.

Mr. Warren moved to Brownfield in 1982, and he married Virginia Cruz on April 11, 1991.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clifford and Kathryn Warren; brother, Clifford Warren.

Survivors include his children, Alyssa Deyoe, Callie Rudnick, Will Warren, Amber Warren, Adolfo Warren, Alexis Cruz, Cristina Cruz, Amy Sifuentez, Marcelino, Nathan, Adolfo Perez and Fabian Rivera; 13 grandchildren; five sisters, Fay and James Carrol of Colbert, Helen and Jr. Davis and Janice Anderson of Blair, Avis and Dan Winters of Oklahoma City, and Dena and Lew Timbrook of Warren; three brothers, Ralph and Janice Warren of Duke, Delbert and Margaret Warren of Lawton, and Rodney and Joie Warren of Brownfield.

Pallbearers were to be Trent Darby, Toby Bridges, Erasmo Rodriguez, Esteven Gonzalez, Randy Warren and Charles Warren.
