Renee Collingwood took the oath of office after being appointed by the Jackson County Commissioners to complete the term ending June 30.
Minutes from the Feb. 27 meeting were approved as presented.
Jim King reported the highlights from the Performance Improvement Council meeting that was held on March 7.
Kay Bolding presented the fourth quarter Patient Safety Report.
The board approved the annual review of the Infection Prevention Plan as presented by Kay Bolding.
Michelle Ford reported that the outreach clinics had a total of 224 admissions and 110 outpatient surgeries and observations that were contributed to JCMH for the month of February. Mrs. Ford also announced that Patti Burks, APRN-CNP, joined the Mangum Clinic full-time effective Monday, March 26.
The board approved the Annual Home Care and Hospice Board Evaluations as presented by Ford. According to the HCAHPS survey, Home Care and Hospice are consistently above their comparative groups.
Bill Wilson reported on physician recruitment. Dr. Lindsey King, Pediatrician, has agreed to join the Pediatric Clinic after she finishes residency in June. Recruitment efforts continue in pediatrics, general surgery and emergency medicine.
Fixed Assets from Funded Depreciation and Designated Funds to Funded Depreciation were approved in the amount of $57,824.61.
The board approved the Workers’ Compensation Resolution for appropriated sufficient funds for claims for the 2012 – 2013 fiscal year.
Richard Pope reviewed the employee termination report. For the time frame of July 1, 2011 through Feb. 29, 2012 a total of 154 employees have terminated. The highest percentages of those were due to the employee moving or changing careers.
Dr. Melinda Powers, Chief of Staff, reported from the Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting that was held on March 12. The board approved the following recommendations from the Medical Staff:

Nancy Davidson presented the financials for the month of February indicating a net income of $731,142 and a year to date net income of $2,514,670.
