Final filings reported; Race developes for County Clerk

Statewide election activity ended at 5 p.m. Friday when the filing period closed.

Jackson County Election Board secretary Jennifer Wilson confirmed that incumbents for the four Jackson County offices up for election filed, as well as one office developing a race. Incumbents are County Clerk - Christi Hair; Court Clerk - Rhonda Stephanovich; Sheriff - Roger LeVick; and Co. Commissioner District 2: Anthony Fixico.

Robin Booker has filed for the position of County Clerk, a position currently held by Christi Hair.

Wilson said candidates for state offices filed with the Secretary of the State Election Board. It was reported that Altus’ Charles Ortega re-filed for State Representative,, District 52.
