Sgt. Michael Bell, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) President of Lodge 120, presented a check for $2,763 to Asst. District Attorney Stephen Booker for incidental expenses associated with his illness. The FOP raised these funds for Booker by holding two fundraisers. One was an auction to have Detectives Rusty Williams and Dan Meyers and two students shave their heads in honor of Booker, who is also currently hair-challenged. The FOP also sold BBQ sandwiches during the Rock-N-Rumble to raise these funds. The FOP wished to thank the Drug Task Force, Loves, Wal-Mart, Sam’s, Wonder Bread, Frito Lay, Vernon Dr. Pepper, and Scott’s.
Stephen Booker said, “I really appreciate all the support from the FOP and those who contributed to this fundraiser.” He sends his thanks to family and friends, and all the churches in town.
