Funeral services for Janice Joan Grady, 71, of Mangum, will be at the People’s Cooperative Funeral Home Chapel in Lone Wolf on Saturday, May 26, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the Willow Cemetery. Please view and sign the online guestbook at peoplescooperativefuneralhome.com

Janice Joan Grady was born to Ray L. and Delila (McCrady) Johnson in Mangum, on April 28, 1941, and departed this life in Oklahoma City on May 22, 2012.

Janice grew up in the Reed and Gould areas and attended school in Mangum. She married Paul Ray Grady in Mangum on July 9, 1958, and he passed away on June 18, 1988. They made their home in Mangum after several other places around the country due to his military career. She worked as a waitress in Elk City, as well as at Love’s, and she retired from Altus Athletics as a seamstress. She was a great military wife who loved to cook outdoors, fishing, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended the Nazarene Church in Mangum.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Meredith Grady; and a grandson, Paul Ray Grady.

Survivors include a son, Mark Grady of Mangum; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Bucky Young of Duke; a sister, Janet Rockhold of Mangum; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
