Blair man dies in motorcycle accident

A Blair man was killed after a motorcycle accident in Kiowa County Saturday.

According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, James Edward Dollar, 66, of Blair, was driving a 2005 Honda motorcycle on State Hwy 44, about 1 mile north of State Hwy 44A in Kiowa County Saturday at about 2 p.m. when the accident occurred.

Dollar, who had leg and trunk internal injuries, was taken by Greer County EMS to Elkview Hospital in Hobart where he was pronounced dead.

According to reports, Dollar failed to negotiate a curve, struck a guardrail, and was thrown approximately 33 feet. There were no passengers.
