Arthur Robert “Arty” Nahrwold, 63, of Headrick, passed away at his home on Monday, June 4, 2012. A memorial service has been scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday at the Headrick Community Center. Cremation services are provided by the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Arthur Robert Nahrwold was born on April 2, 1949, to Kathryn (Light) Nahrwold in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended school in Jersey City. He married Elizabeth Luciano on April 14, 1972 in New Jersey. He worked in Civil Service at Altus Air Force Base for over 30 years, retiring in December 2011. Most of his time spent in Civil Service was in the wood shop, where he thoroughly enjoyed his woodworking projects. He was of the Catholic faith. Arty enjoyed his family and friends, both at the base and in the Headrick community.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Light.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of the home; a daughter, Ann Patricia White and husband Robert of Wisconsin; two sons, Robert Arthur Nahrwold and Arthur Robert Nahrwold, Jr., both of Headrick; two brothers, Jimmy Light and wife Patty of Olustee, and John Light of Altus; four grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Eric and A.J.; as well as a host of friends.
