He graduated from Altus High School in 1964. The day after graduation he left home to work construction in Dallas, Texas. After leaving Dallas he joined the National Guard, working at Tinker Air Force Base and Altus Air Force Base as a jet engine mechanic. He worked for Kae Myers Mazda for many years. He was the driver for Kae Myers Racing Team. This was one of his true loves. He then went into the Dozer and Trucking business. His last job was with The Altus-Lugert Irrigation District driving a grader.
Wesley was a member of the Masonic Lodge. We will all miss his orney grin and sense of humor.
Wesley is survived by his wife Marie of the home; daughter, Tami and husband Tommy Drake of Duncan, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Amanda and husband, Anthony Moody of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, one brother, Ronnie and wife Pam Booker of Headrick, Oklahoma; one sister Pati and husband Larry Casillas of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at the Headrick Cemetery Wednesday, June 14, at 10:00 am. Officiated by Tom Buchanan. Burial will be under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
