Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon, officiated by Pastor Dan Johnson.
David was born Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1952, in Gainesboro, Tenn. He was the son of the late Stephen Hickok and the late Lillian Climer Hickok. He married Debbie Herdliska on Sept. 21, 1996, in Vernon.
He had lived in Vernon since 1996. He was the Anesthetist at Wilbarger General Hospital for 16 years. He was a graduate of Southern Adventist University and Madison School of Anesthesiologist. He loved the Lord and was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Altus.
He loved his animal farm, long horn steer, donkey and horses, and he was a avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Hickok of the home; daughter, Elisabeth Marti of Hixson, Tenn.; son, Jonathan Hickok of Banner Elk, N.C.; their mother, Linda Hickok of Banner Elk; one stepson, Damian Marsh of Plainview, Texas; three brothers, Richard Hickok of West Minster, S.C., Steve Hickok of Madison, Miss.,; and Robert Hickok of Cooksville, Tenn.
Visitation will be today, June 17, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home.
