Altus Christian Academy (ACA) has received accreditation status from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) as a result of an extensive review process of policies, procedures, and teaching standards that was completed with a four-day site visit to the school. This accreditation includes pre-kindergarten and kindergarten through sixth grade.

ACSI serves more than 5,900 member Christian schools in 106 countries, and is recognized by the Oklahoma Private School Accrediting Commission (OPSAC), a consortium of private school accrediting associations recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Accreditation validates the credibility of educational programming within the school and sets a tone of continuous school improvement and development. Accreditation further provides ease of transfer for students within and among states and positions the school for participation in programs such as the Oklahoma Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act. Altus Christian Academy was incorporated as a not-for-profit under a board of directors in June 2006, meeting the stringent requirements to become accredited after only six years of operation.

ACA’s new ACSI accreditation status and pending move into a larger facility at 1220 N. Grady will prove invaluable for moving forward with growth and expansion in coming years. ACA builds excellence in education through biblical principles. It offers classes for 3 year olds through sixth grade with plans to expand. For questions about enrollment or to make donations to the capital campaign, contact the school at (580) 477-2511 or stop by the current facility at 1700 N. Main Street.
