Wilma “Sue” Wallace, 88, Altus, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012, in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were set for 10 a.m., today in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Darrel Smalts officiating. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Sue was born on Dec. 11, 1923, in Olustee to Wesley D and Crittie Cleo (Cox) Rogers. She graduated from Humphreys High School in 1941. Sue worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator and worked in Altus, Tulsa and Hot Springs, Ark. She retired after more than 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years. Sue loved cooking and playing chickenfoot.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Connie Peterson and husband Art of Robstown, Texas; a son, Rick Wallace and wife Carol of Blair; seven grandchildren, Richard White and wife Jaclyn of Royal, Ark., Kyon Wallace and wife Kim of Altus, Aaron Wallace and wife Jessica of Norman, Jessica Smoot and husband Kyron of Oklahoma City, and S’Vana, Michael, and Annie Wallace, all of Blair; seven great-grandchildren, Jenna, Jillian, Emily, Ellie, Catey, Cole and Abigail; and three sisters, Jean Skinner and husband Bill of Norman, Glena Selby and husband Dearl of Tulsa, and Lucretia DeVore and husband Ted of Altus.
