The Jackson County Commissioners met on the last weekday of the month, Friday, June 29, at 10 a.m.
They approved the minutes, with a minor correction, from last meeting, Monday, June 25.
Reports from the Assessor’s office and the Alcoholic Beverage Tax Report were received and approved.
In Officers reports, County Clerk Christi Hair said that there would be a meeting with the Excise Tax Board on Monday during the regular Commissioners’ meeting at 10 a.m.
Also, Commissioner Chair Marty Clinton said that there was a benefit lunch for Kyle Sullivan at the Altus Community Center June 29.
There were blanket purchase orders from the Health Department and the Sheriff’s office which were approved.
The Contract Renewal between Jackson County Commissioners and Bennie Doane for July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 was approved with no increase.
The commissioners approved the Installation Permit to install 6” Low Pressure Pipeline, Panther Energy Company L.L.C.
A contract for Kellpro Software for County Clerk’s Office for $6,975 per year, and a Kellpro Software and Service Agreement for Commissioner’s Office for $2,490 per year were both approved for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013.
The monthly appropriations for the month of June, were approved.
The commissioners approved Resolution 2012-28 for the purchase of Property and Liability Insurance with the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma. This policy will increase the coverage on the Jackson County Courthouse building by one-half a million dollars. Commissioner Cary Carrell said he’d like to be able to increase the coverage for the Courthouse contents next year. They approved paying the premium in two installments. They will also get tail or gap insurance to cover liability for one year.
There was no new business. The claims were approved and the meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
