The Jackson County Commissioners held a regular meeting on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. in conjunction with the Excise Board members Rick Johnson, Coy Butler, Charles Paris.
The commissioners approved the minutes from last meeting, Friday, June 29.
They approved the reports from the Bogus Check Division, County Clerk, the Treasurer’s office, the Health Department, and the Sheriff’s Office.
In Officers reports, Renee Howard, County Treasurer, said the computer that was declared surplus from her office has been junked.
The commissioners approved blanket purchase orders from all three Districts and the Commissioners’ Office.
In their joint meeting with Excise Board, they went through annual reports of earnings and expenditures and estimated income and needs for ensuing year ending June 30, 2013 with elected officials. The Excise Board agreed with the expenditures and noted the county employees were doing excellent jobs.
The commissioners approved designating Regina Varney and Angela Hennig-Kidd as Receiving Officers, Angela Hennig-Kidd as Inventory Officer, and Robin Fleming as Requesting Officer for the Treasurer’s Office.
The Supplemental Appropriations for the month of June were approved.
An agreement between Jackson County Treasurer and the Jackson County Health Department was also approved.
The commissioners signed the Close Out Document from SWODA for Jackson County/Elmer Rural Fire Department. They had received a $100,000 grant for their new fire truck. This would complete the transaction.
The County has to have Risk Physical Damage Insurance on equipment through County Road Machinery and Equipment Revolving Fund, from ODOT. This insurance was approved.
Resolutions 2012-29 through 2012-32 were approved on lease renewals for equipment for July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.
The commissioners received a presentation from Susie Brown, and Trisha Parker, OSEGIB Representatives and had discussion of current benefit coverage for Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance HealthChoice. No decisions were made, but there was continued discussion.
There was no new business and there were no claims.
