Matt Litsch, Altus Printing and Shirley Sutherland, 3rd District CASA, are shown working on advertising posters and tickets for the upcoming Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children(CASA) "Love-a-Child" dinner/silent auction. The keynote speaker for the 3rd annual event will be Lt. Governor Jari Askins. The dinner will be held April 4 at the Quartz Mountain Lodge Conference center. Askins is the first Democratic woman to attain the office of Lt. Governor and took the oath of office for a full four-year term on Jan. 8, 2007. Askins is an advocate for children and for the greater efficiency in government. CASA advocates speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courts. Tickets for the banquet will be available starting Feb. 11. For more information about this event, call 482-4600.
