There will be an AARP Driver Safety Program held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at The Towers, 101 E. Commerce in Altus.

This classroom driver’s refresher course is geared to promote everyone’s safety and address today’s driving challenges. The $14 tuition ($12 for AARP members) includes a 121-page workbook.

During the months of July and August, as a special promotion, AARP DSP is offering this course to all educators (teache4rs, retired educators and support personnel) for a fee of $5 to honor the service that they provide to our citizens and children.

To pre-enroll (recommended), call the Altus Chamber of Commerce at 482-0210. Completing the class may qualify you for an insurance savings. Although the class is aimed at drivers over age 55, any driver is welcome to take the class.
