Funeral services for Eileen G. Black, 84, of Lone Wolf, will be held at the First Christian Church in Lone Wolf on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. DeWayne Wright officiating. Burial will be at the Lone Wolf Cemetery under the direction of People’s Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 1012 7th, Lone Wolf, OK 73655 or the Lone Wolf Cemetery Association, P.O. Eileen G. Black was born to Walter Samuel and Gladys (Lindsay) Berkley in Projection, Kan., on March 3, 1928, and departed this life in Hydro on July 6, 2012.

Eileen grew up in Lone Wolf and graduated from Lone Wolf High School in 1946. She married Charles E. Black on April 2, 1948, in Lone Wolf. They made their home in Lone Wolf. She was the Postmaster in Lone Wolf until her retirement in 1987. She was also an EMT and a Flowers Shop owner in Lone Wolf. She enjoyed to quilting, embroidering, gardening, canning and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of First Christian Church, Lone Wolf and the Garden Club and the YMC of Lone Wolf.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband on March 3, 2009.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Black and Rita of Hydro, Greg Black and Janet of Weatherford, and Roy Black and Jeanne of Lone Wolf; a sister, Nora Jean Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Tyrone Black and wife Deana of Hydro, Drue Black of St. Louis, Mo., Matt Black and wife Lindsay of Claremore, James Black and fiancé Rachel Brach of Tulsa, Mike Black of Weatherford, Jessica and husband Gary Rogers of Weatherford and Rebecca and husband Michael Baxter of Weatherford; five great-grandchildren, Jakayla Stephenson, Carson Black, Dakota Osmond, Dason Osmond and Madie Black; a great-great-grandson, Baylor McDonald; and many other family members and friends.
