Former Altus High School Head Football Coach Jim Holloway has been selected to the National Coaches Association Football Hall of Fame.

The 40-year coaching veteran was select after three state championships, 284 career wins, and multiple stops across the state of Oklahoma along the way.

Holloway was one of two people named to be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame class of 2012. Holloway along with former Jenks cross country coach John McGinnis will be officially awarded with the honor later this month.

After spending three years at Ardmore as an assistant, along with three years at Boise City High School, Holloway made his way to Wynnewood where he achieved great success.

In 1987, WHS claimed the first of its three state championships under Holloway, including repeating in 1988, after beginning the season with a 1-6 record.

Holloway also spent 13 years at Altus High School, guiding the Bulldogs to a State runner-up finish in 2001, before coming to Duncan.
