Shelby Jean Doughty Wright, 30, of Yukon, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born in Norman on Dec. 10, 1981, to Paul and Sherry Doughty. Shelby graduated from high school in Altus, and worked as a bookkeeper, secretary, and property manager while raising her son, John Braydan Woods. Shelby married Matthew Wright on Feb. 29 of this year, and she and Braydan immediately were welcomed into a family of five brothers and sisters. She loved and was loved by all. She worked as an accountant and real estate broker in Edmond.

Shelby is survived by her husband, Matthew Wright of the home; her son, Braydan Woods; four step daughters, Ryan and Katelynn Jansen, Madison and Elizabeth Wright; one step son, Robert Wright; her dad and stepmother, Paul Doughty and Jane Doughty of Edmond; her sister, Kendall Doughty of Edmond; her grandmother, Velma Doughty of Bedford, Texas; her step brother, Steve Wilson of Houston; along with several uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Jean Doughty; paternal grandfather, Harold Doughty; and maternal grandparents, Almer Lee Ellison and Metta Ruth Ellison.

Services were scheduled for 10 a.m. today in the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
