It’s the event many wait for all year long, so get your calendars out and jot down Friday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. That’s the date for the annual Red Cross Style Show and Luncheon.
Volunteers are already meeting to coordinate this festive event, held at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, in Altus. The luncheon will begin at 11, with a huge silent auction going during the entire program. The modeling of the latest trends, sponsored by local stores, will start at 12:15 p.m.
The table decorations are usually spectacular, with people vying to sit at the most popular spots. Those designing tables are waiting with a drumroll of anticipation for news of this year’s theme. They’ll have to wait one more week though, as the coordinators will announce the theme after next week’s meeting.
