Lady Bulldogs rip Clinton, travel to Lawton

CLINTON – After getting off to a slow start, the Altus High Lady Bulldogs rebounded and defeated the Clinton Lady Reds 48-35 on Saturday night.

Clinton scored the first seven points of the game.

The score was tied 28-28 in the third quarter when the Lady Bulldogs broke the game up on a 16-2 run. Taren Ray hit a shot and Altus led Clinton 44-30 with 2:20 remaining in the game. Clinton never recovered.

Kiondra Harris scored 13 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Then came Janelle Durrough with 10 points and Ray with eight points. Malorie Vaughan scored seven points, Meagan Steen six points and Michelle Marcha four points.

Altus is 14-5 on the season. They will travel to Lawton High tonight for a 6 p.m. game before returning home to play Lawton MacArthur in the final regular season game of the year.
