Led by 6-10 senior post Will Renke, the Wolverines had a massive height advantage. But when the Wolverines shoot like they did behind the three-point line, it has the makings of being a blow out.
Lawton High hit 14 three-point shots in the game and defeated the Bulldogs 101-63.
Zarek Richards made a shot early in the game to give Altus a 4-4 tie. But that was the last time the Bulldogs would be even.
Lawton High rolled to a 33-11 first quarter lead and the Wolverines never looked back.
Reinke, who will play college basketball at Stephen F. Austin, led the Wolverines with 21 points.
Altus was paced by Derrick Bull’s 23 points Richards finished with 11 points. Then came Eric Sanders and Julian Portillo nine points each, Jake Warren eight points and Braden Warren three points.
The Bulldogs played without the services of Rapheal Bagley who was nursing a knee injury. Creadell Pennon was not available either.
Lawton High is now 17-4 on the season while the Bulldogs are 13-8.
Altus will host Lawton MacArthur Friday. Tip off will be at 8 p.m.
