For Altus students, the 2012-2013 school year will begin with “Meet the Teacher Day” on Friday, Aug. 10. The first day of classes will follow on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
On Meet the Teacher Day, students and their parents are encouraged to go to their schools to learn about their classroom assignments, meet their new teachers, and sign up for school organizations, such as the PTO. Parents may also pay for school meals and sign up for Extended-Day Care during this time. In addition, bus rider registration will also be held on Meet the Teacher Day at each school. Meet the Teacher Day is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Aug. 10, at every Altus school.
All classes will begin at the regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, Aug. 14. Busses will be running and meals will be served as usual.
