The Altus High School Bulldogs began preseason workouts on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will workout in shorts and helmets through Thursday before going to pads on Friday. Altus will have an intrasquad scrimmage a 8 p.m. Friday at Hightower Memorial Stadium. The Bulldogs will scrimmage at Weatherford on Aug. 17 before hosting Elgin in a scrimmage Aug. 25. Altus will open its season Aug. 31 at Vernon, Texas.
