Summer break in Altus ends this coming Tuesday, Aug. 14, as students head back to class. Buses will run and meals will be served. (see school menus for the week on page 9 of today’s edition)
High school Senior pictures will be taken Monday, and AHS Band photos will be taken at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Several sporting events are scheduled this week including a AHS Varsity and Jr. Varsity football scrimmage in Weatherford on Friday, and a high school football scrimmage on Saturday in Lawton at Cameron.
Another parent meeting on the student drug testing program will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the high school cafeteria.
