LaQuita was born Dec. 20, 1932, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Earnie Collier and Opal (Doyle) Jones. LaQuita, who was raised by her aunt and uncle Helen and Howard Anglin, lived in Altus most of her life.
She married Harold Briscoe and had two sons, Randel and Dennis. LaQuita and Harold later divorced, but remained friends through the years.
LaQuita worked for the City of Altus Electrical Department and later retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt and uncle; ex-husband, Harold; and son, Randel.
She is survived by her son Dennis of Altus.
Memorial services will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
