On Thursday afternoon, Aug. 16, the Altus Police Department detained four people in connection with a burglary. The suspects had barricaded themselves in another residence and the Tactical Team was called into action.
Regarding the incident, Assistant Police Chief Mike Turner said, “Continuing the investigation of the 1304 York St. burglary, four arrests have been made thus far. In custody is Quamell Massenburg, 21, charged with Burglary II, and Troyrece Hopkins, 32, charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Burglary II. In addition to these two adults, two juvenile male subjects have also been arrested and charged with Burglary II.”
