The Altus Municipal Authority (AMA) and the City Council will meet Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. During the AMA, the trustees will consider the purchases of the mobile radios and other equipment to comply with the FCC mandate Jan. 1, 2013.
In the City Council meeting, in addition to normal business, they will consider several zoning issues. A carport that is in non-compliance with City Code, a possible Public Hearing on a public nuisance, and a rezoning will be discussed.
The council will consider approving a resolution to apply for a grant through SWODA. This Community Expansion of Nutrition Assistance (CENA) program grant would be for the purchase of kitchen equipment for the benefit of the senior citizens.
Council members will consider approving a resolution to support Altus Air Force Base to be chosen as the Formal Training Unit (FTU), final basing decision for the KC-46A aerial refueling aircraft.
The Council will also receive a report on the MS4 Stormwater Management Program.
