The Western Plains Downed Bikers Association, Inc. (WPDBA) has announced plans for the Danny Hager Benefit Poker Run to be held on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Danny is a life long resident of Western Oklahoma and was recently involved in an accident while riding near Granite with a friend. His injuries are extensive and he has had to be hospitalized twice. His family and friends have come together to put on a run to help defray his extensive medical expenses.

This will be the largest payout ever for the WPDBA with poker hands paying out $1500! High hand will pay $1000, and low hand will pay $500. The poker run will open for registration at 11 a.m. on Oct. 7 at The Tool Box,1402 W. Third St, in Elk City.
Registration for the poker run will cost $30 for a single rider and $40 for rider and passenger. The last bike out will be at 1 p.m., with the last bike arriving at Friends Pub & Pizza, 200 Main St., in Canute at 5 p.m. There will be a 50/50 drawing as well as door prizes and an auction of items donated by local businesses.
Danny’s family and friends and the WPDBA want to encourage everyone to come out and support this event whether on a bike or in any form of transportation.
The WPDBA has been organized for approximately 10 years and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds for bikers and their families who have been lost or hospitalized due to a motorcycle accident.
