Famers Coop manager Barney Trammell reported today that they have received their first cotton for the season.
“It was brought in Saturday by Dance Hall, north of Duke, off of the Wilson farm,” said Trammell.
Trammell also said that this is very early for cotton, but said that Corey Robinson is currently working cotton west of town.
“I don’t think we will get into the full cotton harvesting season until the end of next week,” he added.
