Seen left to right unloading 3,040 pounds of food collected for Operation C.A.R.E.: TSgt Joyce, SSgt Dustan Foret, and SSgt Jacob Jewell from Altus Air Force Base. According to Foret, “This campaign is called ‘Feds Feed Families’. We gathered food from the squadrons and our biggest contributor was the commissary. They were taking donations from patrons over the last month.”
Operation C.A.R.E. is located at 219 W. Commerce. Assistance available includes utilities, prescriptions, transient lodging, food, clothing, GED, emergency travel, Goodwill vouchers, food vouchers, referrals, and prayer/minstry. Requirements for assistance are: being a Jackson County resident, have a photo ID, SS card, proof of income, bill must have cut off notice and be in your name.
