Jr. Livestock Show this weekend

Haley Newman’s goat Dazzle stands up for a photo while being weighed in this morning for the Jackson County Jr. Livestock Show. Newman is a member of the Navajo 4-H. Schedule of events for the Jr. Livestock Show include the weighing in of Meat Goats, Sheep, Swine and Beef Exhibits this morning with judging at 3:30 p.m. of Ewe and Market Lambs followed by Meat Goats. On Saturday, judging will begin at 9 a.m. of Gilts and Barrows. Sunday events begin at 10 a.m., with Sunday School. Judging of Heifers and Steers will be held at 1 p.m.

The Livestock Judging Contest will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m., and the barbecue supper for bidders and exhibitors making the premium auction will be held at 4 p.m. The premium auction will be held following the supper at 5:30 p.m.
