On February 25, 1980, Barbara and Samuel Richard Surles were united in marriage. They spent 32 happy years before Barbara went to live in a better place in God’s Country.
She was a member of the Olustee Baptist Church. Barbara had always been a hard worker, having worked at Johnnie’s Cafe and a couple of different times at Wal-Mart to name a few. She also owned her own daycare and was currently operating it. She will be greatly missed by many, many family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband Sam of the home; one son, Cullin Davis Jr of Olustee; two daughters, Joyce Ann Sury of Needville, Texas and Denise Williams of Altus; one brother, Richard Ford and wife Tina of Missouri City, Texas. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, October 1, 2012 at Hess Cemetery with Pastor Richard Ford officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving guest Sunday from 3-5 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. On-line tributes can be made to the family at www.lowell-tims.com
The family would like to thank JCMH Hospice for the care they gave to Barbara.
