Public hearing to receive general discussion and comments on financial matters of the Altus School District to be on Monday’s Board agenda

The Altus School Board will meet in regular session Monday at 5 p.m. in Board Conference Room of the Administrative Center.

Comments from the public will be heard, followed by the Superintendent’s reports and comments. Superintendent Drury will recognize AAFB and discuss school report cards.

Other agenda items include teacher and support personnel evaluators for 2012-13, uniform allowance for district cooks, rental of school facilities, revision of the Windy Trails Golf Course contract, contracts for Vocational programs, and policy matters.

The Board will also accept retirements and resignations, and approve reassignments of district personnel to include a change in salary. They will also approve the proposed substitutes, time sheet employees, volunteers, and extra duty assignments.

The proposed executive session will be to consider proposed new hires, with approval to be voted upon after returning to regular session.

The Board will then consider and take necessary action to open a public hearing to receive general discussion and comments on financial matters of the Altus School District.

Also on the agenda is a the possibility of adopting Spanish as Altus Schools’ World Language as part of the State Core Curriculum.
