Jr. Livestock Show under way

The Altus Chamber of Commerce sponsored Jackson County Junior Livestock is in full swing this weekend. Judging of ewes, market lambs and meat goats was held Friday, judging of gilts and barrows was to be held Saturday, and today will be the judging of the heifers and steers at 1 p.m. The Livestock Judging Contest will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m., and the barbecue supper for bidders and exhibitors making the premium auction will be held at 4 p.m. The premium auction will be held following the supper at 5:30 p.m.
