The Altus High girls placed first and the AHS boys were third in the Altus Invitational Cross Country meet on Thursday.
Seven AHS girls won medals by placing in the top 20.
Brenda Ortiz was third with a time of 14:51 in the two mile race. Then came Sicily Gonzalez, 4th, 15:25; Katherine Krawietz, 7th, 15:57; Brittney Drewry, 13th, 17:07; Abby Evans, 17th, 18:20; Sidney Richeson, 18th, 18:30; Lauren Bledsoe, 19th, 19:15.
The AHS boys had three runners that won medals. Alan Ortiz was first with a time of 18:33 in the 5K race. Devin Huckaby was third with a time of 19:17 and Andres Benitez took 6th with a time of 19:53.
Altus will enter the regional meet Saturday at Norman.
