November declared Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

The misson for the Alzheimer’s Oklahoma Arkansas Chapter is to eliminate Alzheimer’s Disease through the advancement of research; to enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. The Alzheimer’s Association serves nearly 74,000 families in Oklahoma. Nov. 3, the 3rd Annual Memory Walk will be held at 10 a.m. at the Altus Community Center.

Altus Mayor David Webb is urging all citizens to support and learn more about Alzheimer’s Disease and what they can do to support their families, friends and neighbors who care for those with the disease. Mayor Webb has proclaimed November as Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
