Tamarack Assisted Living residents can hardly wait to host their safe Trick or Treating on Halloween. Halloween in Altus will be observed on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Trick-or-Treaters can start going door-to-door starting at dusk, but if you prefer, there are several alternative Halloween events going on. Following are a few of those events:
Harvest Blessings and Trunks ‘N’ Treats at Altus First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church of Altus is providing a fun, safe alternative to Halloween for boys and girls of all ages on Wednesday, October 31 at the Altus Community Center located on Falcon Road. Doors will be open to the public from 6 to 8 p.m. Harvest Blessings & Trunks ‘N’ Treats is all free. Food, games and a hayride around the city reservoir will be available. English Village Manor residents will welcome children Trick-or-Treating from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31. They are located at 1515 Canterbury Blvd. in Altus.
Emmanuel Baptist Church Trunk-or-Treat
Emmanuel Baptist Church will hold an Oct. 31 Trunk-or-Treat event at the church. There will also be games available for the kids, all from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 800 N. Forrest in Altus.
Elm & Hudson Church of Christ Fall Festival
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ will hold their Fall Festival Trunk-or-Treat event at the church, 400 N. Hudson, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Trunks for Treats at Grace United Methodist Church
Trunks for Treats will be held by Grace United Methodist Church on 620 S. Park Lane. This will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Navajo Public Schools hosting Fall Carnival
The Navajo Public Schools will host a Fall Carnival for all ages on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. They will offer games, food, a hayride and a Costume Contest will begin at 7 p.m. at 15695 SCR 210 in rural Altus.

Assembly of God Harvest Party
Altus First Assembly of God Harvest Party will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Food, black light puppet presentation and more. Lots of prizes and candy will be given away at their location, 1400 Falcon Road in Altus.
