Lawrence Easly was born on Aug. 5, 1939 in Soper, Oklahoma to Jim and Virginia (Johnson) Easly. He worked for Jackson County as an equipment operator for more than 20 years before retiring. He loved horses and worked at a Boys Ranch breaking horses in Rio Vista, Texas. Mr. Easly was a simple man and loved drinking coffee with the Friendship Inn crowd.
His parents, and a brother, Jack, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Easly and Dean Cantrell of Altus, and Patricia Rone of Altus, and her husband Steven of Texas; four grandchildren, Matthew Lee Rone, Paige Elizabeth Rone, Kaylynn Margaret Cantrell and L.D. Cantrell, all of Altus; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Mantzke and husband Bill of Headrick, and Alta Jean Easly of Altus; and a nephew, Jason Mantzke of Headrick.
