Kevin Gore from BK&D reviewed the Annual Audit Report for 2011-2012 during last week’s hospital board of trustees meeting. He provided statistics from July 2008 through June 2012. The audit results indicated the hospital ended the year with a net income of $2,118,068. The board approved the audit as presented.

The board approved the purchase of a new steam boiler and new hot water boiler from Jackson Boiler in the amount of $170,720 as presented by Jim King and Ray Miller.

The board approved the purchase of radiology fluoroscopy equipment from GE Healthcare in the amount of $294,858.54 as presented by King and Frank Festa.

King also reported from the Performance Improvement Committee meeting that was held on Oct. 3.

Michelle Ford reported from the outreach clinics. A total of 234 admissions and 110 outpatient procedures and observations were contributed to the hospital in the month of September.

Bill Wilson reported on physician recruitment activity. Recruitment efforts continue in Family Practice and Pediatrics. Jennifer Zachary, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, signed a contract to join the Counseling Center in November and Kevin Twist, Orthopedic Physician Assistant, also signed a contract and will join Southwest Orthopedics in November.

Fixed Assets from Funded Depreciation and Designated Funds to Funded Depreciation were approved in the amount of $71,917.44.

Richard Pope presented the quarterly safety report including the number of fire drills conducted, fire system inspection, new employee orientation and work related injuries. He noted there were no trends relating to the injuries reported.

Dr. Melinda Powers reported from the JCMH Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting that was held on Oct. 8. The Board approved the following recommendations:

Nancy Davidson reported on the Financials for the month of September. The month ended with a net loss of $155,557 and year-to-date net income of $54,288.
