According to Richard S. Guinan, chief of Public Affairs at the Altus Air Force Base, at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday morning, an employee at the 97th Medical Group noticed a box out of place just outside the facility.

As a precaution, the facility was evacuated and a military working dog, trained to detect explosives, was brought in to inspect the box.

The dog did not detect any explosives and the employees were allowed to re-enter the facility.
