Lillian Rodriguez was the winner of the coloring contest recently held to decide who would get to flip the switch to turn the lights on in the Altus City Park. From left are Deb Davis, who was in charge of the contest, Lillian, flipping the switch for “Christmas in the Park”, and Cemetery and Grounds (Parks) Supervisor Freddy Perez. Santa arrived at the park by Altus Fire Truck, to meet and greet children. He will be there every evening this week. After this week, he will only be at the park gazebo on Friday through Sundays. The train and concessions will also only be open Friday through Sundays after this week.
