OKLAHOMA CITY – A contract was awarded this month for bridge repairs in Jackson County, Sen. Mike Schulz and Rep. Charles Ortega recently announced.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the project will involve repairing the US-62 Westbound bridge over the Salt Fork of the Red River less than a mile east of the State Highway 6 south junction.
Sen. Schulz (R-Altus) said the State Transportation Commission awarded just over a $486,000 contract on the project to PBX Corporation. The Sapulpa company was the lowest of three bidders for the job, said Rep. Ortega (R-Altus).
Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within less than three months.
