Cecile Crystal Mitchell, 90, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Plantation Village Care Center where she had resided for the past two years.
She was born March 27, 1922 near Sand Point, Oklahoma to George Marion and Mattie Irene (Silvers) Stewart. She married George Curtis Mitchell on Aug. 16, 1947 in Clayton, N.M. George preceded her in death.
Cecile was a member of the Blair First Baptist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of Guymon Memorial Hospital and Womens Bowling Leagues. She was a lovely lady with a lovely spirit. She truly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as the many cherished extended family and friends she gathered throughout her life.
She is survived by two sons, George Gary Mitchell of Stillwater, and Randy Mitchell and wife Sheryl of Blair; six grandchildren, Kim Wagner and husband Roger, Eric Mitchell and wife Christina, Randa Mitchell, Michael Mitchell and wife Heather, Christi McGahan and husband Micah and Lindsay Mitchell; four great-grandchildren, Regan and Terry Wagner, Hailey Mitchell and Clint McGahan; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday at the Blair First Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Mitchell officiating with the Rev. James Scarborough assisting. Lowell-Tims is in charge of arrangements.
Interment will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon under the direction of Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.
